"Words will never truly express how elated and blessed my husband and I are to
have gone through the home buying process with Mark Parkinson. Our last two
attempts to purchase a home were horrific in that we truly didn't have an
advocate -- even the realtor we hired didn't have our best interest at heart. It
appeared that everyone involved just wanted to make a buck and didn't give us
the level of respect and customer service that we deserve as new homebuyers. But
the experience taught us alot and we felt that we were prepared for our next
attempt to purchase a new home. I started looking online this past June for
homes in the Fairfax County area. We are renting an apartment near the
Government Center/Fairfax Corner and love the area and wanted to find something
relatively close. Mark emailed me a few days after my online search began. I was
hesitant to contact him because of my experience in the past with realtors, but

chatted over the phone (which turned out to be a really good conversation --I
got a good vibe from talking with him) and Mark said that he would send me
listings based on my criteria. Within less than 2 days, I got over 40 listings
of homes in the Fairfax area based on my criteria. I was truly blown-away. His
follow-up skills were AWESOME. And within those listings, I found a place less
than a mile away that I was really interested in. So in mid-July, I met Mark and
Rick (his broker) there and I was very pleased with the level of service and
commitment that I received from the both of them. I truly felt they had my
interest at heart and more importantly, they cared. And that's one of the most
important things that stayed consistent with Mark throughout this whole home
buying process -- he TRULY cares about his clients. After a crazy roller coaster
ride with the builder and the mortgage company, we finally closed on the house
we fell in love with at the end of August. But Mark rode that crazy roller
coaster ride with me and my husband until the very end -- not to mention the
number of times he went to bat for us when the builder/mortgage company were
doing things that were not in our best interest. He stayed optimistic even when
we weren't and did everything he said he would do -- to find us a home that we
love and with a mortgage that we were comfortable with. I didn't expect to find,
buy and close on a home on less than a month, but Mark made it happen because of
his dedication and commitment to his clients. I could NOT have picked a better
realtor if I tried. And what's even greater is that we get a rebate back that we
can use towards getting our new house in order. My husband and I will refer
friends/family to Mark for any of their home buying or home selling needs. Mark
